The History of Colle Paradiso
Our Origin
The Colle Paradiso Agricultural Company is located in the municipality of Limite and Capraia , a town of famous shipyards, exactly 10 km from Leonardo's birthplace, Vinci and about 27 minutes from one of the most beautiful cities in Italy, the magical Florence .
The company is located in one of the best hills, dominating the Arno Valley and offering an authentic and evocative panorama.
Since 1959 , the Priori and Chiarugi families have carried on the wine and olive growing tradition together with the sharecroppers who once looked after the vineyards and land with invaluable care and devotion.
Having reached the peak of the Industrial Revolution , around 1970-1980 , many of the families moved towards the centers of large cities, gradually abandoning peasant life, leading Colle Paradiso to have to change its organisation.
From sharecroppers to a large family of collaborators..
"The changes and renewal of our company are thanks to the precious contribution of the new agricultural collaborators in the vineyard and in the cellar, who have led Colle Paradiso to change.
From a family-run business,
to a company that has built a family with its workers.."
The Colle Paradiso Agricultural Company is entirely renewed in 2016 thanks to the Passion and Love of Cinzia Chiarugi:
"We have completely restored the cellar , eliminating the old concrete vats and inserting new and modern stainless steel vats, a dehumidification and temperature control system.
I am proud of the collaborators who every day manage to take care of and give the right value to the lands handed down from generation to generation.."
